Peanut

Hello CAPS!

My husband and I have been searching for a special companion for some time now. We saw an ad on petfinder.com for Peanut, a 3yr old Long-hair Chihuahua mix. He was so adorable and seemed to be just the perfect companion for myself. My husband is in the Marine Corp and I'm a stay at home wife, so it was important we find the special little one who would be a great companion and cuddle bug. My husband and I went to visit Peanut at Petsmart; we learned he had been adopted out 3 times and returned. That just broke our hearts, he is the biggest sweetheart.  Immediately upon our first visit we bonded and played together. Our hearts were broke when we were declined the adoption because we don't have a fenced yard. My husband and I were not ready to give up hope on Peanut. We went and visited him every weekend just to give him special attention, even knowing we were already denied. About a month after our first visit, we met Peanut's foster parents. His foster mother was a very special lady with a good heart, and she saw past the little details and could see my husband and I had all the patience and love for this special little boy. Later that week we brought Peanut home with us.  Every day since we have been blessed with a wonderful relationship. He is protective over myself and sleeps with me every night. He has brought laughter, play and lots of love to our family. We are so thankful for our special angel who helped us unite with Peanut.
