Harley

If you want to hear a good success story, this is the story for you.  Over a year ago, one of our members was at a local vet office with some of her animals when she met a man who brought this wonderful dog in to be put down.  He told her how Harley had a skin condition and it was going to be just too expensive to treat.  Luckily for this beautiful guy, our member took this dog off that man's hands and he signed Harley over.  After being checked out by a vet, Harley was given a clean bill of health.  He went up for adoption and remained in our program for over a year without finding a good home.  That is actually a blessing though because in August a woman called and emailed C.A.P.S. and told us that she thought we had her dog posted on our website.  She said that Harley belonged to her.  She had gone out of town and when she came back, her boyfriend told her that Harley had become ill and needed to be put down.  At the beginning of September 2004 they were finally reunited and Harley is back at the home that he was always meant to have, with a wonderful family and long life ahead.  Just in case you were wondering, the old boyfriend is out of the picture which is a good thing for Harley.  He is a very lucky and happy boy now!
