CLEO (Now Madison)

When we moved to Jacksonville, my husband and I planned on fostering a needy dog or two.  Within minutes of my phone call to CAPS, I received a request to foster a newly abandoned puppy named Cleo.  We agreed to meet Cleo, so that we'd be able to make sure she'd be a good fit for our family.  It was love at first sight for my husband.  I however, was trying desperately to keep my emotions in check, because I knew that Cleo was up for adoption and could be adopted at anytime.  Over the next few weeks, both my husband and I grew to love Cleo.  We decided to take the plunge and adopt her!

Since her adoption, Cleo, now Madison, has become a world traveler.  After leaving Lejeune, we were stationed in Okinawa, and now are stationed at Quantico.  While we were in Oki, I continued to foster for the Okinawan American Animal Rescue Society.  During my experiences fostering for OAARS, we fell in love with another puppy.

Our doggie family is now complete.  Madison and Origami are the best friends.  Our world travels are not over, however, our dogs continue to settle into whatever new situation presents itself.

From one animal rescuer to another, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!  There is so many needy animals all over, that wouldn't have a chance without rescue organizations like yours!
