Patch & Pepper
Dear CAPS,
After our beloved dog of 14 years passed away, my husband and I went to a CAPS
adopt-a-thon hoping to find another small, female lap dog. Pat (now Patch) stole
our hearts right away, despite being a 60 pound male who THINKS he is a lap dog.
Patch immediately became part of the family. His favorite things to do are
napping and being a bed hog, going for car rides and getting treats out of his
Kong. He adores going to his grandparents' house and romping around with their
beagle. Patch is a constant source of entertainment and we couldn't have chosen
a more perfect dog to fit in our family.
Patch has been with us for over a year now. A few months ago my husband and I
were checking out the CAPS website and came across Pepper's story. We arranged a
meeting with her right away, and fell in love on the spot. Despite being an
older dog, Pepper is now in good health and keeps up with Patch just fine. She
also enjoys napping and is an expert at removing the squeekies out of stuffed
chew toys. She and Patch are two spoiled rotten peas in a pod!
We couldn't have asked for two sweeter dogs and we would like to thank all the
volunteers, sponsors and foster families at CAPS for allowing these wonderful
animals to become part of our family. It has been a wonderful experience and we
highly recommend anyone looking for a future pet to contact CAPS to find a
perfect fit.
Thanks again,
the Castecka family - June 05
